The I.S. 93 Beacon/21st CCLC program is a safe haven for neighborhood youth and their families. We offer a wide range of comprehensive and multifaceted programs for both children and adults within the community. The Beacon program provides services to over 1,000 people from the five boroughs annually.

The I.S. 93 Beacon program is staffed by teachers, college students and other support staff. The program offers opportunities for children and adults to express themselves through positive outlets such as community service projects, volunteering, arts programs, leisure activities and vocational endeavors. The program provides educational support, job-readiness skills, sporting leagues and clinics, drama groups, trips and many other services.

The Beacon program operates Monday-Friday from 2:30PM-9PM and Saturday from 8:00AM-3:00PM. The Beacon program is also open most holidays during school closings.

In addition, the Beacon program offers a summer camp program from July-August. The summer camp enrolls 70 children ages 6-13 years old. It provides educational and recreational activities culminating in an end-of-summer show. Breakfast and lunch are provided daily.
